Horizon, will provide 10x performance improvement for simulation over the current NSF Leadership-Class Computing system, Frontera, and meet the unique scientific requirements of the NSF community. For AI applications, the leap forward will be even larger, with more than 100x improvement over Frontera
Frontera currently has 800 GPUs, which are presumably V100s. For Horizon to have 100x it's AI compute, Horizon would need several thousand GPUs
