Overview
The 8 GB GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is the original May 2023 card, with the same 4,352 CUDA cores, 136 fourth-generation Tensor cores and 128-bit GDDR6 bus as the 16 GB version that followed in July. It reaches the same 22.1 TFLOPS of FP32 and 88.3 TFLOPS of dense FP8, and the same 32 MB L2 cache. Eight gigabytes is the practical limit on what it can do for AI: small quantised models and image work fit, anything at 13B or above does not. It draws 160 W and runs from a 550 W supply, which keeps it viable in ordinary desktops.
