Oxide Computer Company
The cloud you own. On-prem that feels like the public cloud.
About Oxide Computer Company
Oxide builds integrated rack-scale computers that customers buy and run in their own facilities, combining compute, storage, networking and the software layer in one self-contained product rather than assembling servers, switches and a hypervisor from separate vendors. The Oxide Cloud Computer runs AMD EPYC processors with on-demand virtual machines, Kubernetes, NVMe block storage under triple-mirror protection and P4 programmable networking, and the company claims 55% lower power draw and a twelve-fold improvement in cooling efficiency against conventional builds, with a two-hour setup. It is sold as a one-time hardware purchase with no recurring subscription or licensing fees, positioned against both traditional on-premises infrastructure and the public cloud. Named customers include Switch, Stoke Space, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory and Jump Trading. Investors include Eclipse Ventures, Riot Ventures, Rally Ventures, Intel Capital, Counterpart Ventures and the USIT Fund.
