Overview

The Arc A380 was Intel's first discrete desktop Arc card to reach retail, launching in China in mid 2022 before going worldwide. It is the small ACM-G11 die: 8 Xe-cores, 128 XMX matrix engines and a 96-bit memory bus giving 186 GB/s, inside a 75 W board power that many partner designs satisfy from the slot alone. Intel rates it at 66 dense INT8 TOPS. Its real claim on attention was never compute but media: it was the first consumer card of any brand with a full AV1 hardware encoder, and cheap A380s still go into transcoding servers for exactly that reason. For inference the 6 GB frame buffer and the narrow bus are both hard limits. Intel publishes no floating point rate for it.
