NVIDIA publishes this card's throughput without saying whether the figures are dense or measured with 2:4 structured sparsity. The word sparsity does not appear on its product page, and Lenovo's guide repeats the same figures unmarked. All four tensor rows have been halved before storing, because the printed TF32, FP16, FP8 and FP4 figures are 4x, 8x, 16x and 31x the card's own FP32 where the dense professional Blackwell ratios are 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x, and because the Workstation Edition of the same silicon publishes the same FP4 headline under an explicit sparsity footnote. NVIDIA rounds the FP4 row to 1.6 PFLOPS, so the dense 800 TFLOPS shown here is about one percent low against the Workstation Edition's exact 1,617 sparse. NVIDIA publishes no INT8 and no FP64 figure for this card, so neither is shown.

Overview

The RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition is the rack-mount form of the same silicon as the Workstation card: 10,496 CUDA cores, 82 fourth-generation RT Cores, fifth-generation Tensor Cores and 32 GB of GDDR7 with ECC on a 256-bit bus. What changes is the packaging. Cooling is passive, the card is single slot and full length, and the board runs at 165 W instead of 200 W, with memory bandwidth of 800 GB/s rather than 896 GB/s. In exchange it gains up to two Multi-Instance GPU partitions of 16 GB each and confidential computing, which is what makes it deployable as multi-tenant inventory rather than a single-user workstation card. FP32 is unchanged at 51 TFLOPS, so the two editions are the same bin and the server card gives up bandwidth, not compute. Its place in a fleet is inference, vision AI and visual computing at the edge or in dense 1U and 2U chassis, where 165 W in one slot matters more than raw throughput. NVIDIA publishes the tensor ladder without saying whether it is dense or with sparsity, so every tensor figure shown here has been halved and the published figure kept as the sparse partner.
