Overview

The Radeon RX 9070 GRE sits between the RX 9060 XT and the RX 9070 with 48 compute units, 96 AI accelerators and a 2790 MHz boost clock. It was announced in China first, in April 2025, and only reached global retail in June 2026 at $549. The card gives up more than shader count to its siblings: 12 GB of GDDR6 on a 192-bit bus at 432 GB/s is a third less bandwidth and a quarter less capacity than the RX 9070, which is the binding limit for anything memory bound. Dense compute is respectable for the tier, at 34.3 TFLOPS FP32 vector, 137 TFLOPS FP16 matrix and 274 TFLOPS FP8, all at 220 W.
