Overview
The Wormhole n150s is the entry point to Tenstorrent's hardware at $999, and it is unusual in that the entire software stack around it is open source. The card carries one Wormhole processor with 72 Tensix cores at 1 GHz, backed by 108 MB of on-die SRAM and 12 GB of GDDR6 at 288 GB/s, and it draws up to 160 W from a single 4+4-pin EPS12V connector on a passively cooled three-quarter-length PCIe Gen4 card. A Tensix core is not a shader: it is a matrix engine and a vector unit wrapped around five small RISC-V cores, and Wormhole's defining trick is that Ethernet lives on the die, so two QSFP-DD 200G ports let cards be meshed directly to one another without going through the host. Tenstorrent publishes 262 TFLOPS of FP8 and 74 TFLOPS of FP16 and marks nothing sparse. What you are buying is an open stack and a card you can actually get, not a CUDA replacement.
