Definition

Peripheral Component Interconnect Express - Standard interface for connecting GPUs to motherboards. PCIe Gen 4 provides 64GB/s bandwidth (x16), Gen 5 provides 128GB/s. Much slower than NVLink for GPU-to-GPU communication but universal across all systems.
